Welcome to the Department of Food Technology at Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Polytechnic.
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to our newly established Department of Food Technology, which commenced its journey in the academic year 2026–27. Food Technology is a rapidly evolving field that plays a vital role in ensuring food quality, safety, nutrition, and sustainability for society.
Our department is dedicated to providing quality technical education that combines strong theoretical foundations with practical learning experiences. We strive to create an environment that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and skill development, enabling students to meet the challenges of the modern food processing and allied industries.
With the support of qualified faculty members, well-equipped laboratories, and industry-oriented training, we focus on developing competent diploma engineers who possess technical expertise, professional ethics, and a commitment to lifelong learning. We also encourage students to participate in projects, seminars, industrial visits, and skill enhancement activities that broaden their knowledge and practical exposure.

The department was established in the academic year 2026–27 with the vision of developing skilled professionals for the rapidly growing food processing and allied industries. The department is committed to imparting quality technical education and fostering innovation in the areas of food processing, preservation, quality assurance, and food safety.
The Department of Food Technology aims to nurture young talent through a balanced approach of theoretical learning and practical training. Supported by dedicated and experienced faculty members, the department focuses on developing technical competence, problem-solving abilities, and professional ethics among students. Well-equipped laboratories and modern learning resources provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to current industrial practices.
